Memo: JP Fozo appointed Assistant Managing Editor, Digital Platforms, at Toronto Star

We are delighted to announce JP Fozo in a new role, Assistant Managing Editor, Digital Platforms.
JP arrived at the Star in 2014 as senior editor, digital projects. He became known to most of you for his leadership during early digital projects and the tablet sprints, which helped guide and inspire teams throughout the entire newsroom on our most indepth and interactive platforms.
Most recently he has enhanced some of our smartest, strongest journalism in his role as executive producer, projects. JP is well known for his engagement, commitment to our work and his enviable talent for effective collaboration.
He will be taking his deep knowledge of Star journalism to his new role helping guide and execute our multi-platform strategy. He will report to the managing editor and work closely with the newsroom and the digital team, led by Chris Goodridge, on the fourth floor to ensure our story-telling is strongly presented and executed across all our platforms, to best reach our audiences wherever and however they access us. He will continue his work on projects, working closely with Associate Editor Lynn McAuley and Kevin Donovan and the I-team.
This appointment expands on JP’s impressive background in digital leadership. At Roger’s media he was general manager and director, current affairs and business, responsible for digital strategy across all platforms for Maclean’s, Canadian Business and MoneySense, from 2009-2013.
He has an MBA from Ryerson and a BA from McGill.
