Wendy Cox leaves Canadian Press to join Globe B.C. as bureau chief
The Vancouver bureau chief of the Canadian Press will replace Matt O’Grady, who left The Globe and Mail in September.
The Canadian Press Vancouver bureau chief Wendy Cox is leaving the newswire to join The Globe and Mail as its B.C. bureau chief. Cox will replace Matt O’Grady, who left the Globe in September.

Scott White, editor-in-chief of the Canadian Press, said Heather Boyd, the current Prairies bureau chief, is expanding her role to Western Canada bureau chief.
“Heather will continue to be based in Edmonton, but will be in daily contact with the Vancouver bureau and will visit the bureau on a regular basis,” White said in an internal memo. “As Western Canada bureau chief, Heather will work with Vancouver News Editor Terri Theodore and Prairies News Editor Tim Cook to oversee all aspects of the news report in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, as well as the Yukon and N.W.T.”
