Global Calgary anchor and reporter Cara Fullerton is leaving the broadcast industry after 14 years to pursue a career in health and fitness.
"I've loved my time in broadcasting but am excited about the next chapter in my life," said Fullerton in a news release. “I would like to thank Global for helping build my career and lift my confidence so I can in turn help others."
Fullerton previously worked for CFSK Saskatoon and Global in Halifax. Most recently, Fullerton was on Global Calgary’s Morning News and co-anchored the Noon News Hour on weekdays.
"I would like to thank Cara for her time and dedication to Global," said Chris Bassett, news director for Global News in Calgary. “She's been a great team player and she will missed. We wish Cara all the best on her next adventure."
Fullerton’s last day with Global Calgary will be Aug. 14.
