Reporters have been banned from Don Bosco Catholic Secondary School grounds after observing Toronto Mayor Rob Ford – the Don Bosco Eagles football team’s coach – and some of his aides during games and practices, the Toronto Star reports. The school’s principal and vice-principal, accompanied by a police officer, informed journalists standing by a gate to the school yard that they weren’t allowed on the property.

Toronto media outlets have reported on allegations that city resources were being used to help with the team’s operations since The Globe and Mail's Kelly Grant broke the story. The ban is only lifted if journalists are covering the football games, reports the National Post.
