Mark Medley, books editor of the National Post, is joining The Globe and Mail on Sept. 8.

Mark Medley, books editor of the National Post, is joining The Globe and Mail on Sept. 8.

The Globe’s editor-in-chief, David Walmsley, said in a memo that Medley will “steer the paper’s books coverage and help create and shape sharp cultural content.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Medley has been the books editor for the Post since 2010 and prior to that, he was an arts reporter. Medley also co-founded and edited the Post’s books blog, The Afterword, and managed its weekly book club, The Afterword Reading Society. He also sits on PEN Canada’s board of directors.
