Postmedia’s Sun News names Mark Towhey editor-in-chief.
Very happy to share the news:
I’m joining the amazing team at Postmedia as Editor-in-Chief, Sun News on April 8.I will also continue hosting #TheBestShowEver @NEWSTALK1010 Sundays 2-4pm and as a regular contributor to panels there. pic.twitter.com/HibDTlGilA

Towhey is replacing James Wallace, who took a position as Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s deputy chief of staff in January.
The revolving door between the Sun chain and Ford governments has been noted by a few, with Canadaland recalling Towhey’s former role in late Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s office, where current Toronto Sun editor Adrienne Batra also worked as press secretary.
James Wallace, VP of editorial for the Sun papers, has left to take a job with Doug Ford. Here's the message he passed on to Sun staff this morning: pic.twitter.com/3NsGUbYpgp

Basically, what she said (minus 6 years). It's been a treat working for CP. I've learned from many talented people, and leave a better reporter. For that, I'm grateful. And despite yet another layoff, I still have hope for journalism in Canada. Hold fast. https://t.co/yvcoFvr0xX
