Rogers appoints new group publishers for current affairs and business magazines

Sandra Parente, most recently publisher of MoneySense and formerly general manager of corporate sales, is now group publisher of Rogers' current affairs stable, including Maclean's and Sportsnet. 
Ian Portsmouth, who heads Canadian Business and its Profit-branded section and projects, will fill Parente's shoes at MoneySense. As such, Portsmouth is now group publisher of business titles.

News surfaced yesterday that Rogers hired Derek DeCloet away from The Globe & Mail's Report on Business. Today, the company confirmed three more changes to its publishing team. 

Sandra Parente, most recently publisher of MoneySense and formerly general manager of corporate sales, is now group publisher of Rogers' current affairs stable, including Maclean's and Sportsnet. 
Ian Portsmouth, who heads Canadian Business and its Profit-branded section and projects, will fill Parente's shoes at MoneySense. As such, Portsmouth is now group publisher of business titles.

Sophie Banford is vacating her role at TVA as publisher of Clin d’Oeil and Moi & Cie to become group publisher of Rogers' Quebec-based women's publications, overseeing LouLou and Chȃtelaine. She reports to executive publisher Lorraine Hoefler.
