Sylvie Poirier was named the editor-in-chief of Véro, a new Quebec quarterly women's magazine that will hit newsstands in Quebec starting next fall.

Véro, short for Veronique, is a partnership between French Canadian radio personality Véronique Cloutier and TC Media.

In a statement released on Tuesday, TC Media said the magazine "will target passionate, active women who want to feel good about themselves, who treasure time with their families and have a zest for life."

Poirier has helmed other TC women's magazines, such as Elle Québec and Vita. Cloutier will serve as "muse-in-chief."
