The Canadian Journalism Foundation is now accepting nominations for its annual Lifetime Achievement Award. From The CJF’s press release:

The recipient will have demonstrated, throughout his/her career, a commitment to the highest journalistic standards and ideals. His/her work and contribution to the field and society should serve as a model that inspires excellence in others. The winner will be selected by a jury and presented at the 16th Annual CJF Awards at The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto on June 13, 2013.

The deadline for nominations is January 28. For more information, check out The CJF's website

Last year’s winner was Jack Sigvaldason of Northern News Services. I had the chance to sit down with Sig before the CJF gala where he was presented with the award to talk about his 60-year career in journalism, advertising and publishing, the changes he’s seen in the industry and why he loves the North.
