Jonathan Jenkins, a veteran Queen’s Park journalist in Toronto, has died. 

Jonathan Jenkins, a veteran Queen’s Park journalist in Toronto, has died.                

Jenkins was the bureau chief at QP Briefing, an electronic newsletter about the Ontario Legislature. Prior to that, he was the Queen’s Park bureau chief and police reporter for the Toronto Sun from 2000 to 2013.

According to the Toronto Sun, Jenkins moved the city in 2000 after stints with the Winnipeg Sun and the Edmonton Sun. He also launched the Newzapalooza, the annual media battle-of-the-bands in Toronto, which raised money for the Children’s Aid Foundation.
