The Canadian Centre for Investigative Reporting has joined the battle to secure a hefty chunk of cash from the Aviva Community Fund.
To enter the second round of the competition for its share of the $1-million available in funding, the CCIR must get plenty of votes and be chosen to move into the semi-finals.
Its idea comes in two parts: fund investigative series in Canada, and train the investigative journalists of tomorrow.
To vote for the CCIR, or learn more about what it plans to do with the possible funding, head on over to the Aviva site. This round of voting closes November 9th.
