Western CanWest Journalism Fellows announced
Two new Canwest Journalism Fellows have been announced for the University of Western Ontario's journalism graduate program 2011/12 school year.
Two new Canwest Journalism Fellows have been announced for the University of Western Ontario's journalism graduate program 2011/12 school year.
Former CBC National radio news and current affairs senior producer Thomas Rose will join the school first. Rose's academic research centres on journalism and human rights, including the history of media development projects in West Africa. He will teach the course "Journalism, human rights, and international development" for the Masters program.
In the winter term, Michael Valpy will also join the school as a CanWest fellow. Valpy has won three National Newspaper Awards and is well-known for his work at the Globe and Mail. More details on his post will be sent out closer to the start of the winter term.
