Yukon News wins five Community Newspaper Awards; Ubyssey leads in campus paper categories

The Yukon News won five first-place awards in its circulation category at the 2013 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards, while Ubyssey, the UBC student publication, swept all four first-place awards in the campus newspaper division.  Newspapers Canada announced the awards for 33 unique categories on Thursday. The Yukon News won five first-place awards in its circulation category at the 2013 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards, while Ubyssey, the UBC student publication, swept all four first-place awards in the campus newspaper division. 

Newspapers Canada announced the awards for 33 unique categories on Thursday. This year’s first-place winners will be recognized at a special event on May 2 at the INK+BEYOND newspaper conference in Ottawa.
