Sports columnists Damien Cox, Cathal Kelly leave Toronto Star
Sports columnist Damien Cox is leaving the Toronto Star for Sportsnet, while Cathal Kelly is headed to The Globe and Mail.
The Toronto Star has lost two of its sports columnists to rival media.
Hockey columnist Damien Cox is leaving the Toronto Star for Sportsnet, while Cathal Kelly, who covered soccer and basketball, is headed to The Globe and Mail to become a national sports columnist. Kelly had worked for the Star for 14 years.
All the cliches are true. I'm saddened to say goodbye to a family I've shared for 14 years, and thrilled to join the new one.
