    Do ethnocultural newspapers have a future in Canada?

    The recent closing of Italian language newspaper Corriere Canadese and the cancellation of the print edition of Canadian Jewish News, prompted speculation about the future of ethnocultural publications in the Toronto area. Ryerson professor April Lindgren argues that these newspapers are a valuable resource, particularly for recent immigrants, and can survive if they localize their news coverage.
