Marin, a parliamentary bureau reporter, will join the Montreal bureau of The Canadian Press at the end of the month, while Marquis will start in Ottawa on Sept. 8.

Mark Starowicz, executive director of documentary, and Bruce Cowley, who oversees the Documentary Channel, will both report to Dettman.

Maurino, a business reporter with The Canadian Press, is leaving to pursue a freelancing career. 

The current CBC reporter will join Global National on Sept. 29.

The veteran CBC journalist will take over the anchor chair from Alison Smith, who retired from the public broadcaster earlier this summer. 

DiGiulio will co-host the evening show, Friendly Fire, along with John Downs starting Sept. 2. 

Mark Medley, books editor of the National Post, is joining The Globe and Mail on Sept. 8.

Harper, a reporter-editor at The Canadian Press, will become a supervising editor at TheScore. 

Police have found the body of missing Brockville Recorder and Times sports editor Steve Pettibone and say foul play is not suspected. 

Police have issued an alert for Pettibone, who was last seen at his home at 7:30 a.m. Monday.
