    Ban on Twitter in Quebec courtrooms goes in effect today

    As of Monday, no one will be able to email, tweet or text from inside Quebec courtrooms without the consent of the judge. The move runs contrary to recent changes made in Ontario, B.C., Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador, where the courts sanctioned the use of electronic devices by lawyers and journalists during court proceedings.

    Global News bringing more local news to Halifax, New Brunswick

    Global News is adding two 30-minute local newscasts for Halifax and New Brunswick audiences starting Monday April 15. The one-hour Global Maritimes News Final show will be replaced by local programming from Global Halifax and Global News Brunswick stations and will feature hyperlocal weather and news tailored to each province.
